Hey bro, Sasi from Hyderabad. I made Storypoly because I was tired of all the bad tools out there. Every time I tried to download an Instagram Reel to save or see how they edited it, or grab a YouTube thumbnail to get ideas for my own videos, or check if a channel is monetized yet, it was always a headache. Sites full of ads, forced signups, daily limits like "only 3 free", or downloads just stop working after some time. I got annoyed and thought why not make one simple site that doesn't do any of that crap. So this is it – my own little project, nothing big, but it's helping me and some others now.

What you can do here

Paste an Instagram Reel link and it downloads the video in good quality MP4. Works for stories sometimes too if the link is okay. For YouTube, download thumbnails from any video or channel in high res – so you can zoom in and see what makes them good. There's a channel checker too – shows subscribers right now, how views are going (up or down), monetization status (on or off, eligible or not, when it might turn on). Uses YouTube API so data is real. And when you see a nice thumbnail, you can plan how your video first frame should match it so the click looks pro. All free, no signup, no limits for normal use.

Why use this instead of others

Other sites have too many problems – ads everywhere, signup needed, limits on downloads, break after updates, no fixes. Here no signup, no email, no hard limits, ads very low or none. I use it daily for my own videos and Reels so if something breaks I see it quick and fix it. Instagram or YouTube changes something, I try to update fast so it works again soon. Works on phone, laptop, tablet – same way.
